Position description – DP & MYP ESS & Biology Teacher


Required qualifications/skills:


The position of DP/MYP Environmental Systems and Societies (ESS) and

Biology teacher requires that the successful candidate has:


  • a teaching qualification

  • a relevant initial degree

  • at least two years full time teaching experience


Desired qualifications/skills:


The position of DP/MYP ESS and Biology teacher will involve teaching w i t h i n the DP and MYP programmes and i t

is strongly desired that the successful candidate has:


  • Prior experience at teaching both in the DP and MYP

  • Has received DP and MYP focused professional development

  • Is cognizant of, and his/her teaching philosophy should reflect that of, the IB DP and MYP programmes.

  • Is knowledgeable and comfortable with regards to the the Extended Essay, CAS, Personal project, Learner

  • Profile and student centred learning.
